Took a look at Shadewing's great Tux spritesheet (https://opengameart.org/content/tux-kyrodian-legends-style) and thought "Hey, I could use a penguin like that in my game, but twice the size"
This one isn't nearly as good tho.

It certainly could! Yours is better tho :) but it was just a bit too small.
