Nice assets. A few questions, though:

There are a lot of Terms & Conditions in this pack, none of which are compatible with the licenses accepted here. Would you be willing to forego the extra stipulations? They change the license to a proprietary one, which we don't allow.

How were these made? Which RPGMaker tiles are these based off of, if any?

 EDIT: Fixed, thanks! :)

Hey!, first of all thanks for your reply!

Sorry about the license, I got kind of confused about that since it is my first time posting here, I will fix it right away.

Those weren't based on any rpg maker tiles.

Great to hear! These are lovely.

Regarding the licensing, I would be happy to help clarify anything you have questions about. My primary concern is that you are comfortable with the terms you're sharing these assets under. I don't want people to use the assets in a way you don't want. In summary, there are several licenses accepted on OGA, each with slightly different terms:

  • CC0 - free-for-all. people can do whatever they want with the assets. They don't have to credit you. They can resell the assets (generally they don't, but they're allowed to)
  • OGA-BY, CC-BY, or CC-BY-SA - Note that these are three separate licenses with slight differences, but I'm listing them together because the primary outcome is the same: People have to credit you, but can otherwise use it for whatever they want. They can even resell the assets (I've never seen anyone successfully resell someone else's assets under these licenses since the reseller would have to link back to the original free asset from their sales page, which kinda defeats the motivation for anyone to pay the reseller when they can get the same assets for free. Never-the-less, they are allowed to do so since forbidding resale creates legal complications that makes the assets effectively unusable in any game, even free ones.) I can explain more about the differences between these licenses as well as the details of the legal weirdness around "no resale" stipulations if you're interested.
  • GPL - Other assets (and sometimes the whole game project, depending on how its arranged) used with GPL assets must also be under the GPL license. This is a good license... for code. It creates some weird legal results when applied to art asset and is generally considered less usable as a result. It's really only an option because there are some legacy projects out there where the art and code were licensed GPL together or the art was licensed GPL because the other licenses above didn't exist yet. If your work isn't based off of existing GPL art, I recommend against applying this license to art assets. This license also allows resale and redistribution.

TL;DR: in order for your assets above to be hosted here on OGA, there cannot be addtional restrictions placed on the assets that the license would otherwise allow. CC-BY-SA forbids extra stipulations like 'no redistribution, no resale', so any such verbiage in the downloadable package and the submission description would need to be removed.

 EDIT: Fixed, thanks! :)

Great! The only thing left is to remove those same stipulations from the submission's "Copyright/Attribution Notice:" section above.

(I saw you breifly had it set to CC-BY-SA. which is also fine if you prefer that one, BTW. It is your prerogative, because these are your assets.)

 EDIT: Fixed, thanks! :)
