"based on a real life photo"
what is the license of the photo? "based on" makes it sound like it is a derivative work. if so, the photo needs to be from a compatible-licensed source.
Perhaps this? https://unsplash.com/photos/2Hzmz15wGik
Unsplash license was very compatible with OGA, last I looked.
It looks like AliHamieh started from a highly blurred version of the photo that MedicineStorm (very helpfully) found, then used clone stamping and filters to add detail back in. You can still see the ghost of the tree trunk on the right hand side, which Ali tried to remove. One of the cloned brushes has produced a flying tree.
It's still a decent piece of work, I think.
Correct: provided there is significant alterations (which this has) the unsplash license is compatible with OGA licenses.
That being said, I recommend always indicating the source image of any derivative so the submission doesn't have to spend any time in the "potential licensing issue" bin while we investigate.
I didn't edit or blure the image as you said. I just use it as a reference to create a background. Yeah it's similar since I spend more time than I thought which made me not adding anything special or add things to make it different.
@AliHamieh: what we are saying is this artwork is good. The are no licensing problems because, although it is similar to the photograph, it is different enough for unsplash. However, I would like you to add a link to the submission description above that links to the photograph you used as a reference. That way, in the future we don't have to waste time trying to figure out if it's a licensing issue to have your art on opengameart
