I got clarification via email that by-3.0 is the correct license.
They were made for the side-scrolling action RPG Ardentryst.

The compositions here are good, but the sample quality is mediocre at best. For me, this means these songs are sitting in a sort of audio "uncanny valley". With better instrumentation samples these would be vastly improved.
Can I use this music in my game?I'll give you credit of course!
Thanks for sharing all this fantastic work! @kagerato - I'm not so sure it's the source samples that's the issue, as it sounds more like there's an EQ doing an unbias crop which could even be on the output. Nothing a little remastering couldn't fix if Jordan wishes.
qubodup - can you share the clarification you got via email that this work is CC-BY?
Update: Talked with MedicineStorm about this and the community will take your word for it. Thanks for the submission!
Upon more analysis, these files are basically mono and that's the main reason for the quality disparity people are noticing. There appears to be two channels in the source oggs, but they're basically the same which effecively results in mono output. This would suggest to me the issue is the samples Jordan used after all: mostly mono and he made no use of pan in his mix.
Hey again qubodup - in the possibility that Jordan accidentally output these files in mono, can you ask him about it? Can he provide us with stereo versions? Ideally, with the same license.
