I saw this drawing of nubux's just after he told me I should do some bad guys along with the group of svg characters I've been creating for practice. My husband thought it'd be a funny idea to paint the necromancer out in this style. So he made me do it (and I made him help).
Done in MyPaint.

Great work ;-).
I like it, cute and evil.
This is great. In my opinion, you should do more characters in this stye. I was trained by a great painter who worked for Disney, and he described his theory that each piece of artwork has some mix of three principles: line, mass(otherwise known as shape) and form. Successful designs prioritize these three principles often utilizing one as the primary, one as the secondary and one as the tertiary. I think this has a strong prioritization of line and shape and more designs in this style would work well.
Sorry for the art lecture lol.
Wow!!! this is great !!
Really nice interpretation of the necromancer.
Glad everyone likes it! Justin, thanks for the "art lecture." That's great advice. And nubux, thanks for the inspiration!
Really nice style... Works well but for the arms... the just get lost in all the action and don't seem to connect to the body the way you would expect.
This is almost a year too late, but SpriteAttack, thanks for the pointing that out! I think I fixed the arms in subsequent ones.
