City Graphics

Just stumbled across this website while looking for some game graphics. First of all I must applaud everyones efforts as there is some serious talent sharing and helping others in a much needed area.

As much as I hate for my first post to be a request, I suppose this is one of the main reasons site's like this start so I don't feel too bad =). I am basically looking for some artwork for a top down, resident evil style survival horror game. I need them either as to be placeholders and have custom made art if the game pans out to be a good enough complete game, or prefferably art that is free and complete enough that I can use it for the complete game and have and artist fill in any gaps at the end.

The best sample of the style of graphics I'm looking for are:

http://www.dundjinni.com/info/images/streets_ad.jpg

http://opengameart.org/content/zombie-sprites

The first link the backgrounds arehigher quality than I need but obviously the higher quality the better. You can get the feel for the style I am looking for from the link. Preffered format would be a tileset but mis-matched object sizes would work aswell. Final not would be it has to be top down like the image rather than isometric.

The second link is one from here =). Excellent zombie graphic with alot of frames. I'm looking for more similar zombie graphics and ones for a hero with a pistol (and other weapons if possible). Isometric or top down view point.

Hope someone can point me in the right direction cos i've been googling to hell!

ianuk2005, glad you like my zombie sprites!

If you want, I can render them from a different angle (e.g. directly above).

That would be awesome if you could do it from a top down angle! =)

If you did any similar or know a other resources please do share xD

Thanks!

Not a problem.  What size do you want these?  And what scale?  (e.g. 64x64 tiles, where 32px=1m)

Also, what direction for the light/shadows?

My other creatures are more fantasy standards -- skeletal warriors, goblins, minotaurs, antlions.

Well the game itself will most likely be 64x64 tiles (640x480 screen) so chars will need to be about 32-48px for pathfinding/collisions. 1m is most likely going to be 64px (maybe even 120px) so players don't get a large viewing area.

Probably best to take out shadows if possible to avoid complications as its pre rendered.

Seems to be map making software for fantasy board games, d&d type stuff I don't know to much about that kind of thing. Software looks very cool though. I'd use it for games but I imagine it's not licensed beyond personal use.
