Art: cwebber -- Shoot'em up graphic kit
Submitted by cwebber on 10 September 2012 - 2:06pm
Art Submission:
Score:
47
Consistency with Style:
So actually this entry doesn't really do great in this regard, but that's mainly because the artist disagrees on principle with the style guide approach to pixel-specific design. Given that it's all blender and SVG stuff, i t looks fairly good at matching the LPC stuff, but it's very noticeable that it doesn't match it perfectly, and that's because of that disagreement.
Quality and Skill:
Fairly well executed despite the differences there. The architecture especially looks good despite the deviation from the style guide.
Quantity:
A good set of things here!
Submission Format:
Source files here, which is great.
Judge's Opinion:
This could have been a much better entry if the author had spent some time post-processing the renders and SVG work to try to match very specifically the style guide. But as is, these look a bit like renders. It's a good set of things, and lots of fun! But it does look like it deviates from the style guide because of it.
