You should put commas between your tags.
Thanks, I did not know that. Fixing it all up now :)
Wow. These are great. How were all these sound effects made?
To add to what Umplix said, hashtags make the tags unsearchable. All tags should not start with hashtags. This ain't twitter. :P (EDIT: also, invalid tags get routinely scrubbed from the site, so they may disappear soon otherwise. Check out https://opengameart.org/content/art-tags for more information)
Also, these seem perfect for a "ship attack sound effects set". Would you be willing to consolidate them into one submission with multiple sound effects instead of several individual submissions containing one sound effect each? Cohesive sets of assets tend to get noticed and favorited more than individual one-off submissions.
Thanks for the kind words!
Oh, I didn't know that either - thanks for pointing that out!
I thought this whole hashtag business was now internet standard or something. I'll fix that up.
I've got a few more like it, so sure, I'll put them all together. I had tried that with the "collect" function, but the sounds didn't show up in that when I tried it. I'll make a "demo" preview and put them together in one submission.
I'm new to this Open Game Art thing and still learning :)
Edit: As to how they were made, using free assets (freesound.org etc) and Reaper with mostly stock or free plugins (Reapitch, Reeq etc).
As for freesound.org, do you know what licenses were for all the source material you used?
Yes, I only use CC0 stuff, same as the licence I've chosen for mine. If someone credits me, that's great, but I'm aware that a lot of projects like game jams and the like are fairly quick. While respectful, with many different names to credit etc it can chew a fair bit of time out of a project.
Edit: These sounds were made as part of a submission to the OGA winter game jam: https://itch.io/jam/opengameart-winter-game-jam-2022
Perfect! All good news!
I created an account here just to leave a comment and say how great this is. :)
I intend to use it on my computer game (with attribution/credits) here:
