I need to leave Unity.

Hello. I need to finally switch to a different 3D software for personal reasons. I want to make games for Android. Is JMonkey any good for Android? I have tried to learn Godot, but I get terribly confused by everything being called scenes and nodes. I want to learn how to use Unreal, but that takes up too much space for an Android game, IMO. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Specifically 3D? I tried unity and kind of hate it. I'm sure I'll have to get over my dislike at some point, but for now I use AGK and I love it. Haven't used much of the 3D components, but they're there and it's super easy to export to Android.

Might not be your cup of tea, but it might be just what you're looking for: https://www.appgamekit.com/

Thanks. I will check this out. Are there any other game engines that have a free version that I could test things in before I make a purchase, though?

I'm not finding much on this topic. Perhaps I will stick with Unity until I find something else. I can still use it, even though I have some trouble understanding it entirely. If anyone knows a good course on C# with Unity for beginners, please post a comment here!

In case anyone else reads this, I also tried Amazon Lumberyard. It looks good, but the requirements for Android do not appear to be free. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

What about Stride? Have you tried that? It's free and open source. And is documented fairly well.

Also, if this isn't the one. I recommend going through GameFromScratch YouTube videos on game engines until one strikes you. You're bound to find something you like.

Also Processing For Android uses Java, is is fairly easy to set up and use and support 3D.
