Special thanks goes to bluecarrot16 for the LPC Beach / Desert submission here https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-beach-desert

That really helped me figure out how I wanted to make the transition from forest to beach.

This is using mostly DB32.

Here's links to all the art you might see in that preview.

https://opengameart.org/content/zrpg-tiles

https://opengameart.org/content/the-battle-for-wesnoth-water-animation

https://opengameart.org/content/animated-ocean-tileset

This is still WIP and so is the water animations.

I've included an attribution diagram which I feel is necessary in properly crediting the original artists.

TODO:

1.Castus's need completely redone to match Modanung's style.

Ooh, this reminds me. I need some bones for a desert tileset. Thanks. :)

Edit: I learned something. I was going to mention that the plural for "cactus" is "cacti". But I looked it up in an online dictionary to make sure & it says that "cactuses" is correct as well. I didn't know that. :)

Haha, that's interesting thanks for pointing that out. I thought I was spelling it wrong when I wrote it but didn't have time to think about it. I was rushing on these recent submissions before going to my work the last few days. Whenever I edit this submission again I'll fix that.

Hi! I saw on credit.txt that there's a lot of licenses like (GPL 3.0) I should use all them?

Ataos: No, as it stands if you use the entire submission you must respect the CC-BY-SA license, as that's the only license that all of the parts can be licensed under.

However, I am willing to license any of my edits (those found in the submission here: https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-beach-desert) under the same license as the original. That is, if you wanted to use the bones I edited from Hyptosis' Bone Planet submission, you can use those under CC0. If you wanted to use the  sand from Whispers of Avalon, you could use it under GPL v2+. Zabin will have to decide whether he's willing to offer the same deal on this submission (again, my offer only applies to my submission: https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-beach-desert).

Zabin, can't wait to backport some of the alternative trees and the funky new cactus :)

FYI, I've updated my beach submission with some of your edited trees and also some other stuff I found on the Evol Online repository: https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-beach-desert . The credits are getting a little weird since the two submissions are kinda based on one another :p

The original versions of the lower cactus and bottom right palm tree are now also available.

I believe Z stands for Zabin, the submitter.

I think it may stand for Zelda, and explicitly not the platform game... as constrasted by JRPGs, which - in my interpretation - would cover RPGs with random encounters and a more turn-based combat system, like Final Fantasy. But I could be wrong.
Secret of Mana and Terranigma would also be a ZRPG, according to this definition. Even if all these games originated from Japan; the J in JRPG.

I named it ZRPG because of my name Zabin or Zach IRL. I knew it would make people think of Zelda too like Modanung did. So think of the Z either way ;) hehe.

The art I labeled "ZRPG" is random OGA and LPC stuff I remixed to try and match Jetrel's awesome art.

I will expand this "ZRPG" when my life allows. But for now it's here and avaliable for others to play with ;).
