A work on vertex normals which helps to avoid the use of a normal texture.
Useful for those who are looking for simple & a bit stylized grass shapes.

Quite high quality as always, i wonder how do you manage to do one after the other...
Wow, that is an coincidence as I was just looking into similar stylized graphics for a small test game.
The plants look very nice, can you make a short tutorial how to achieve this effect? I would like to apply it to other models (including a set of more complex playermodels if possible) also.
A tutorial: maybe between 2 depressions.
For now I've higher priority I try to focus on. =/
ok then I will try and figure it out myself! Thanks for releasing it anways!
For the shading effects, it's about the vertex normals >>> http://wiki.polycount.net/VertexNormal
Yeah, I gathered so much... for the most part it seems like just small adjustments to the vertex normals right? Looks nice as the end result though ;) Note sure if Cube2 supports edited vertex normals though...
For my playermodels I might rather look into a funny way of creating normalmaps ;) But I might use these plants never the less... lets see.
Grasstastic!
Magnifique!
