Castle Defense

Hi all,
Just wanted to post a bit about my game, Castle Defense. It's an action-packed HTML5 math game. Yes, you heard that right. I've been wanting to write an HTML5 math game for a long time, so I jumped at the chance when I heard about LPC, since game art has never been my strong suit. I built it using only LPC assets, entirely by hand in Javascript with layered canvases -- no jQuery, no tile engine, no nothing. Ok, ok, I used a little CSS, but not much. :-)
You can play Castle Defense online at http://castle.bipsland.com, or download it, hosted by the LPC, at http://opengameart.org/content/castle-defense.
Enjoy!
This is great, I love it! I wish my daughter was old enough to play it - alas, she probably has at least three more years to go. This is great training to get people to do math inside their heads.
I haven't played the other games (Okay, I played mine :P) but I really liked your game the instant I hit play.
I had a crash on level 8, after I had around 7 lives. I wonder if it tried to make me divide by zero ;)
Hahahah, that's great! I liked it =)
Nice
Haha really great idea!
FYI, I wrote a small review of your game in my blog. http://k3rnel.net/2012/08/08/lpc-game-review-castle-defense/
It's one of the best games I've played so far from the LPC. Congrats! I really liked the concept and the execution was perfect! :-)
Great game! I really enjoyed it :).
" I wonder if it tried to make me divide by zero ;)"
@Nushio: That made me spit coffee, of laughing.
Awesome :)
You need to do the correct operation at the correct time
Congratulations! Like i already said before: Very cool idea!
I played this with a friend in school. He managed to beat the third level. I fail at the second always :P
Good job!
Castle Defense won 2nd place overall in the Liberated Pixel Cup! Very exciting! I've updated the URL, and you can play the latest version at http://castle.bipsland.com.
If you are interested in HTML5 games, you might want to check out another action/puzzle game I recently developed. It's called BIPS, and can be played at http://bipsland.com. Enjoy!
