Proper Linux OS for testing?

Hey!

I've only really ever developed on windows.  For the contest I am going to use cmake to develop on windows, but also build on linux.  For the Linux OS I'm going to be running a Virtual Machine to make sure it works.  What is the best OS to run to make sure it will run for the judges?

What libraries are you going to be using?

I think if you run something on a recent stable release of Debian, Fedora, Ubuntu, or Trisquel, you'll be fine.

AKA paroneayea on freenode

I'll be using SDL, and potentially Agar (http://libagar.org/) for ui.

I was planning on Ubuntu, since I already have a server with it (albeit an older than current version) so I have a bit of experience with it.  But wanted to make sure since this is brand new for me in terms of making code run on non-windows

IMHO Ubuntu should be fine.
