Here you will find a Snail with a catapult, a dragon and rider and a lizard who can shoot magical bubbles out of his horn. They don't always have to be this way. You can take this art and morph it into whatever you want. The best part of this spritesheet is definitely the dragon's wing. When animated in-game, it looks SO smooth. So maybe take that and attach it to your own creatures?
