I may use this for a small little game. The game is nothing special are large just for a class and public. It will be completely free. Just want to get the permission.
Here is a screenshot of the game to show that it is not complete rubbish and because the front page said we should post a preview of how the art will be used. Just image this music going along.
Hello, jeremyW. When performance is slow turn on the opengl flag. Some drivers on older/integraded chips are very wonky and generally opengl works better then directx. Also, any use of VolatileImages can mess with acceleration if you are not careful.
In general, it will increase the loading time as you need to open and close many I/O streams. For game maker you do not need sperate .png Just create a sprite and create from strip.
What I do is have the planet, shadow, clouds (if I have them) and atmosphere all rendered by layers so you can rotate everything independently. This really brings out the realism and shouldn't be too much of a performance hit.
I very much like this and it would work perfectly for a game of the same style. Think you could do a song of a similar style but with a more up beat energy to it? No reason other then that I think it would sound freaken cool.

I can give a demo of the program if you want.

(if I remember correctly)
And thank you for posting the image splitup.
Do you mean separate pngs? So instead of one .png image many? You can do that yourself but I would highly recommend not doing that.
The credits are fine. Just saying it came from opengameart will work for me.
Go for it.

As usual, this stuff is great.
I do not know why but I love this odd style. Brings back Castle of the Winds for me.
Wish I had a project that would fit into this style but sadly I do not. One day maybe. Bookmarked till then.
