I will lament a bit too, about the way of managing the list.
Unfortunately, here on OGA, we can not upload powerpoint or PDF, even in the "documents" category.
This is why I made the zip, with the pdf, powerpoint and credits all inside.
I can tell you even for me it is really awful to manage.
Everytime there is a new idea I :
- correct the powerpoint (actually a LibreOffice Impress file, not Powerpoint file)
- regenerate a pdf
- correct the credits
- put all this inside the zip
- upload the new zip
We should think of a new easier way to manage this list.
If anyone has any idea about this...

So here is what I have to say about all this.
1) Reusing game concept is as OK too.
Just do not forget that there is a special rule for this jam :
implementing also ideas from here (https://opengameart.org/sites/default/files/oga_ideas_0.zip) in your game, whether it is a game mechanic or a story idea.
You can make a game 100% based on the idea you chose, or something vaguely inspired. Just mention which idea you chose in the credits.
2) "Your game is only allowed to contain art assets from OpenGameArt.org, or made by yourself or your friends and/or associates. Using commercial assets that you not have the rights to use is not permitted."
"This implies I cannot use assets that are not yet on OGA and that I did not create, but are never-the-less eligible to be submitted to OGA. For example if I found some cc0 assets by another artist on deviantart. The assets are not on OGA, but they could be. Yet they were not created by me or my friends or associates since I do not personally know the deviantart artist. I could not use these assets in the Jam. Is this the correct intent of the rule?"
=> If the assets are cc0, they are not "commercial assets that you do not have the rights to use", right ?
Anyway, I copied it from a previous jam, there were no questions about it, so I thought the wording was OK.
3) About logos and promotional material, I will rewrite remove the sentence "but if you want to post them on OGA anyway, no problem" and explicitly dissuade people from doing this.
I hope there is no question I forgot to answer here.
