Neither really look like lava. Although on the sphere they do look a bit better. Maybe if there wasn't a pattern it would look more realistic.

Oh and Ogg Vorbis would be MUCH better. It would make it much smaller and more convenient in games.
I think it could do with a lower drum (timpani maybe). Other then that I like it.
Could do with a larger room size.
Could you make a version of this with alpha instead of black please?
