Can you tell me more about how these songs were made? Do you mean you gather songs from random rpg sites and derive a new song?
The images you've included as downloadable files with the music look like they're from RPG Maker. Is that the case?
Until we know more I have to mark this as having a potential licensing issue. It is just temporary in case there is a conflict with the sources of the artwork.
P.S. Tags like "music" and "game music" are redundant; this is already in the music category, and everything on this entire site is for games. See https://opengameart.org/content/art-tags for more information.
hi there, no problem, let me explain! i may not know yet how things work around here so well.
so i did the music from scratch. i search "rpg town" in google, pic an image, presumably rpgmaker, yes, and i make a song to ambient that particular place.
is it wrong to upload the images? i just upload them so one can see what picture the song is inspired in.
but the music is 100% my own! no licensing issues with that at all.
Good to hear. Yes it sounds like there is no issue with the music,
but you cannot upload artwork that you do not know the license of. If you got it from google, 99% chance it's copyrighted. Please let me know when you have edited the submission to remove the pictures that are not freely licensed.EDIT: thanks! :)
Great work, I like the ambience!
done! jpgs has been deleted :) thanks
is there any way to upload them, only to be seen but not to be used? like to see what inspired me for each track
Sure. Add them as preview images (not the FIRST preview file, though. On audio submissions like this one, the first preview file must be an audio clip, like you have now.)
This is generally acceptable because preview files are considered for demonstration purposes only and not intended as a component of the assets being shared. As you had it before, the images were part of the downloadable files, which implies you're sharing them as public domain; license conflict.
I would recommend adding a watermark to the images to make it very clear they are for inspiration, and are not licensed for free use themselves. Here is an example of a watermarked preview image.
Loved it!
I used 'TOWN 2' as one of the music tracks in my Ludum Dare 54 game: Monstrous Search by Rafael Garcez (itch.io)
