I was frustrated with the shortage of free hair alphas for game hair texturing, so I fired up Cinema 4D and made eighty-goddamn-five of them LOL

In the pack are 1 of each in png transparent and black and white alpha for use in Substance Painter.

I was just messing around with skewing sprites to used as trails this moring and I thought I'd check to see if anything here could do a better job. Then I found this! These are awesome! Now I have to sift through eighty-goddamn-five of them for the one I want lol thanks

Hmm, I'm not too sure. I personally used a course on Lynda for Substance Painter IIRC but it didn't specifically cover hair, I just kinda worked it out based on what I learned there.

However, I can tell you that the way I do it is select an alpha with the brush tool and paint the hair onto the uv map. I use a fill layer with a black mask, and paint white onto the mask with the alphas. I will keep an eye out for good tutorials though.

Also: You'll need to set the viewer shaders to support transparency and add an opacity channel to the material

This is an excellent pack! Do you allow usage in other programs? I was planning to use some of your hair sprites to make hair in blender for a commercial project that will include these textures.

Thanks for any info.
