hi my name is Tyran Cordine. I'm a game developer and I'm working on a new platformer game. My old artist can no longer help me so I have asked for help from some new people to help create some art for the game. I have the tile sets for most of the areas however I still need backgrounds and some tiles. if you are interested I have listed some areas and have provided the colour pallet that I am using for the game. AREAS: Forest Open grassy field Inside a volcano Snowy field Dungeon

no. I was strolling through the internet when I found the colour pallet and it worked for my needs. plus I like the colours on it. its more of a sonic the hedgehog style game with the colours of Atari 2600.

Hmm, can you show me some examples of the game's art style? I'm not good at backgrounds so i can hardly help you unless the style isn't too difficult.

most of the detail is in the tiles however I want the backgrounds to look something like

I wanted parallax scrolling in the game so the backgrounds need different layers.

that's ok. I've seen your art and you are talented. I believe given enough time you can do something similar. I don't want the same art style as the picture only similar to it. thanks.

One thing that would be helpful is to know what dimensions these backgrounds should be, tho.

the view in the room is around 320 pixels in width and 240 in height so the backgrounds should be around 480 in width and 320 in width as well as any open world backgrounds should be loopable in the horizontal axis.
