I'm fond of first-person games, and sprite scaling is the easiest way to make them, even taking modern engines into account. It just requires quite a bit of CPU power, or else lots of storage, but modern PCs have plenty of both. My latest attempt is a game called Electric Rogue (in development as of May 2017), which gave me a pretext to practice vector drawing. Included sprites:

  • two pairs of backgrounds, for different view distances;
  • lit and dark floor discs;
  • lit, dark and neon-grid columns;
  • computer terminals in three different colors, each with on and off states;
  • three keycards, one for each terminal;
  • a teleporter, also with on and off states;
  • two other items;
  • one enemy with three states.

HUD elements not included.

All 27 pieces are in SVG format (made with Inkscape). Colors from the DB16 palette.

Hey, everyone. Bumping this to let you know Electric Rogue is back in active development, so the art just got a major update, with both new sprites and improvements to the old ones. Enjoy!

...Yes? See the link in the description. And I'd like to make more in the future. Had plans, but they never panned out.
