Hello guys,

We are an indie iOS development group currently developing several games, we need 2d artists to help on the artwork. We just got started so we expect to learn and grow with our artists. If you are interested please let us know.

Thanks!

Jim

Why limit to IOS? If you do IOS you should do linux and windows as well. Otherwise you limit yourself to 10% of the possible buyers/players.

Are your games open source?

@p0ss:

Probably his games are not FOSS, at least Apple's App Store is uncompatible to the GPL, and probably uncompatible to the OSI's open source defintion as well (the last one is just an assumption, though).

@nander:

You are probably mixing up iOS and Mac OSX. But you are right, why limiting to iOS if there is Android?

iOS is mobile platform for iPod, iPhone and iPad, and it's the biggest mobile games platform, about twice as many games/apps than Andriod. We just got started and don't have enough resources to work on Andriod so we are focusing just on the iOS platform. Our games currently are not open source but might be later on.

It might be biggest in terms of raw number of games (though that just means more competition for us developers!) Not biggest in terms of number of users (Symbian is probably still the biggest installed userbase, and Android is the largest selling now I believe).

But obviously, it's fine to write for what you want. People write for OS X or Linux, even though it isn't the largest platform :)

Re: open source, I guess what people are getting at is that since this is a site for Free art, although it's perfectly fine for many free media files to be used in non-Free projects, many people may be unlikely to work for free, producing free content, specificvally for something that isn't itself going to be free. Also, are your games going to be sold for a fee, or are they free-as-in-beer?
