Looking for 2D artist for upcoming Xbox Indie Game

Crown and Code
Tuesday, August 2, 2011 - 20:31

We are building a retro 2D action platformer, and are in need of a 2D artist to build animated character sprites, level backgrounds, ambient animations, menu screens, and UI components. The game will be released on Xbox Live Indie Games, and may also ship on the PC. This would be for a short to medium term project (the remainder of this game's release), but there may be follow on opportunities as well.

If you are interested, we'd love to check out your portfolio and/or concept sketches. We can discuss the art style, and what we're looking, along with compensation then.

Please email crownandcode@live.com with any questions or to discuss the position further. We look forward to hearing from you!

This may be useful: http://opengameart.org/content/textures-for-jungle-themed-platformer

They are 16x16 pixel, so it will fit fine with a retro-platformer.
