Project Milestones (in chronological order):

  1. Determine the concept of the game and what engine/library we will use.
  2. Create concept art for finished game.  Determine what features are absolutely necessary for a minimum playable game.  Priorities "extra" features to be done after game is playable.
  3. Basic, incomplete "tech demo" with placeholder art.
  4. Complete, minimal implementation.
  5. Complete game with extra (non-essential) features.

Once again, this is very sparse and preliminary.  Please comment.

I think is would be good to tap in to

Procedural Content Generation to help make the game better, faster.

You're a man after my own heart.  :)

The key, if we do that, is to use existing generation tools.  48 hours isn't going to be enough time to write them.
