Games should be automatically saved when you exit the game.  It creates a file in the "saves" folder.  Maybe check permissions on that folder?  It might help to create an empty "save1.txt" file in that folder and give it the correct permissions.

I have all permissions, (I'm God!). I saw, when I start rpgdemo I get the message "welcome to OSARE 0.08" but I downloaded, compiled and run osare009. can you check your sources zip file ? do you have a svn or something like that ?

anyway you make a good work.

I'm really shy because, saved game works, I didn't understant that the position saved is not the position of player in map but the map. At beginning I tried just to walk around the starting point... Yesterday I played several min and go to another map and exit, when I back in game I saw that the saved game works.

Really, I'm sorry for my first topic

Not a problem!  I need to include a help file that explains things like controls, save games, etc.

You need to run osare as a root, if you run it as a normal user it will dont save your game

Hm yes, you should open permissions to your saves folder if it isn't already:

sudo chmod 755 saves
