You put it under CC-BY 3.0. Of course it's mandatory to credit. If it's not madatory you could probably put it under CC0 (public domain). :D

 

Nice. A bit to cute to be an enemy though but as the hero he's great.

Downdate: No, it's not mandatory to credit if the author doesn't want/need it. You can always modify all CC licenses to your needs. The Attributes are just patterns, you don't have to follow them.
