Took me a fair while to see how the tiles fit together but I had some fun building quick mock-ups once I did, and I rather like the patterns' look.
Only real gripe I have is the color scheme, so I messed with it a bit before actually building things. I also noticed there wasn't an alpha channel, but that was also a quick tweak.
It's a nice piece overall and certainly better than what I can manage, so my thanks for sharing.
Oh wow, your recolored version is actually an improvement!
Well, I didn't know that it's usual to submit art with alpha channel, but thank you I'll do so in future. The tiles were designed for a game where black is treat as transparent color.
Btw, have a look at Pyxel Edit. It's incredible easy to create tilesets with it!
Good to see that you could do something with it, and thank you for telling your opinion. :)
I used this in a 2-hour game I did with my students. I added in alpha as well, plus took one of the tiles and fiddled with the color saturation to make the background.
