Specific Font

I would like to be able to dynamically load text into my game but at the same time I want to use a specific Font style. How do I get a font I like that I know is compatible License wise and ok to include in my game without royalty and do I install that font on the users system as part of the install process or can I just use it directly from my game. Ive never dealt with anything other than the default font before.

Most if that depends on the game engine you're using. What font style did you have in mind?

I know that this is an ancient topic, but I should mention that if you are allowed to use GPL2 content in your game, then GNU Unifont or my significant mod of it called UnifontEX could be of use (assuming 16px fonts are within your limits.)

A nonbinary techie who uses they/them
