The following is a set of fonts, inspired by different video games or computer systems, in Grafx2's bitmap font format and Linux / X11's BDF font format.
Artos Sans -- inspired by the font used in River City Ransom.
Artos Serif -- inspired by the font used in Nintendo World Cup and Crash 'n The Boys.
Chroma 48 -- inspired by the font used in the Spectrum ZX computers.
Saikyo Sans -- inspired by the font used in the Mega Man series and other Capcom titles.
Torus Sans -- inspired by the font used in Square's later RPGs. Based on the font used in Damian Yerrick's homebrew game, Thwaite (which is, in turn, based on Apple's Chicago font from the first Apple Macintoshes).
Victoria Bold -- inspired by the font used in the Commodore 64 computers. (There is also a "normal" less bold version of this font included.)
(Note: As bitmap fonts do not seem to be covered by the copyright in the U.S., Japan as well as most of the world (with the exception of the U.K.), I consider the inclusion of Torus Sans to be acceptable. )
The fonts are available in both Grafx2's bitmap font PNG format and X11's BDF bitmap font format -- which, in turn, can be used in any other application. (The BDF versions of Artos Sans and Torus Sans also feature a set of Russian letters.)
------------------
To install the Grafx2 .png fonts, copy them to /usr/share/grafx2/fonts/ on Linux or <Grafx2 install folder>/share/grafx2/fonts/ (that will require root's / admin's privileges).
To install the X11 .bdf fonts, copy them to (your home folder)/.fonts/ . Make sure your /etc/fonts/conf.d does not have a 70-no-bitmaps.conf file, delete if it does. These fonts are not installable on Windows.

Hi!
Hi! Just wanted to let you know I used Victoria Bold in my game 'Instant Pixel Palette Scramble!' for the OGA Summer 2017 Game Jam.

Love that font! Brings back all the memories of late night coding on my uncle's old C64!
thanks so much for sharing!
Hey, thanks for posting these, they're some fantastic fonts!
Disappointed about the lack of OTF or TTF downloads, seeing as they're the most common font formats in the world. Will have to convert them myself. Thanks anyway.
