I HAVE looked. Really I have. But either I'm missing out on some of the good ones or some of the obvious ones.

BUT I haven't found a female character sprite that I've liked yet. I know there are some REALLY good ones in here. I don't care about the license at this point.

It's just that they are fairly difficult to find. Are tagged wrong. OR are tagged with other sets that could also include women.

I'm looking for a heroine sprite.

It should be top down, with armor. Or something I could easily add armor onto.

What are some of the well done one female character sprites that you think would fit this need here?

I have looked. I am looking for a soldier or space marine or basically Samus but top down.
