[unpaid] Artist, want to join in on this arena space shooter?

The WIP name is 'Space Chaos'. It is a mulitplayer space arena shooter, currently aimed for Android devices. The game features several game types (deathmatch, tag, last-ship-floating), and a set of power ups and state changers (bombs, mines, invisibility, shield etc.).

I have been developing this game since early April, and have now reached a point where I need to polish the game. Most of the core (engine, network and menus) are done. But I need to polish gameplay, controls and last but not least: art. This is where I need you (yes, I am looking at you artist)! Besides designing the art, you will also be integrated in gameplay decisions, be encouraged to give feedback on the game and testing the game.
Regarding art style, you are pretty free to suggest whatever you like. When I first started out I hade some steampunk stuff in mind. I tried to realize some of it, but did not quite succeed. I gave up on the arts, and focused on gameplay and mechanics.
I aim to sell the game at Google Play (at first) and then on the App Store (when/if the iOS support in my framework finishes). I use Libgdx (for those who are interested). The market model I have been thinking about is to give a part of the game away for free, and encourage the user to buy the full verison. None of this is settled though. My goal is to release the game late december/early january.
Regarding payment: I am not available to pay anything yet (I'm just a student). My idea is that we will collaborate towards releasing and then splitting (for some ratio) the income from any sales. This is something we need to discuss though.
