The Legend of Siegfried is looking for a pixel artist
Hi there!
My name is Robbie Ogrenix, and I am an indie software developer hailing from the Southern United States. Right now I am working with a small team on a roguelike RPG that currently supports Windows and Linux. It is freely distributed, but is closed source; In order to preserve the mystery of the game's quests, lore and content, the codebase should stay out of the public's hands.
Right now we are pushing for our v.0.3.3 release, and we need to replace our GPL and stock images with more original assets done for the project.
The game is loosely based on the real -- and very epic -- mythological tales of Siegfried. It is set in a classical fantasy setting with plenty of dungeons, goblins, treasures and powerful artifacts to encounter.
Most of the assets are 32x32 tiles. As previously stated, the game is already very much playable and stable, so the current stand-in resources can be used as a template of sorts; New images must conform with the size and perspective of the ones they are replacing. However, if someone approaches me with a unique and likeable style I would be willing to let them brand the entire project in their motif.
We also could use some people to make some larger resources, such as a title sequence, loading screen, etc. These touches are just as important to us as the actual in-game tile assets.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this. I will post a link to the game's page below. Those of you who are interested, please feel free to PM me or simply respond to this post. Thanks again!
