General Discussion

Terminology

I hope my question is not to dumb, but I am a developer, not an artist and I rely heavy on cpre-created assets (like craftpix.com) for my art.

Now there is a gamejam on and I really want to complete my project, a mixed together some art and I am happy, however there are tons to do stilll. So i decided to continue my game with silly replacement art, mostly done in MSPAINT to complete the game and the logic, then I will worry about the art later.

So here is my question, say I have a "completed" game in terms of logic and functionality, and now I just need someone to complete the art for me, since I already have some art done, how do you continue? I dont want pixel art really as most of the art so far is high quality, so what do I call it when I am looking for an art pixel to complete my artwork if I provide the art, or say, I have access to craftpix, just tell me what you need and I sent it... or do you feel i should rather use "your" pixel art?

I am someone who tries to cut on time us much as possible, makes me an excellent developer, but a horrible artist.

Please if you will, have a look at the intro video of the game. You will see the map I made in illustrator using tiles from craftpix, and the world map which was downloaded from a procedural generator. Now I need to create like say 20more maps. With access to craftpix, I have all the backgrounds and tiles required... but I need an artist to complete the process, as I dont have the mind set to make "pretty pictures".

I am not really sure where my point is going, maybe I just feel stuck, so any comments are welcome.
