Hi folks,

I am starting a new project to redesign the User Interface of Skyrim to a more modern fantasy look. I  have already worked on a previous UI project for Skyrim called "SkyUI" as one of the ActionScript developers. I recently left due to differences in the direction of the UI. This new UI will include the base functionality of SkyUI which means a good portion of the work is already done. My goal is to release the first version in a few weeks once I stabilize the new core code. I am still thinking of a new name for the new UI so for now it will remain unnamed.

WIP Features :

- UI theme with more of a traditional fantasy look like Morrowind, Baldur's Gate or Diablo. Updated Button Art to match the new fantasy design.

- Standard functionality such as sort/filter items, ability to customize font sizes, switch icon styles etc..

- In-Game UI configuration. There will be a new menu that will allow users to change Easy/Advanced UI configuration options with Easy being the default. There will also be a detailed user guide(maybe in-game book as well?) explaining what each config option does and how to use it.

- Brand new icon art for all types of armor. Icons will match items by using the new keyword system.

- Each icon set will have 2 options : Black and White, Color.

- Grid/List layout

- Journal Book. A new option will be added to the journal menu to access your in-game journal. This journal will allow you to write out your game experience as they happen and save it with current game time/date.

- more features to come...

*Previous UI mod work : http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=3863

To get started with my new UI, I am currently looking for the following support :

1. Flash/Photoshop Designers - to help with the new fantasy UI design/look/icons.

2. ActionScript programmers - to help me add/fix code.

3. Testers - to help find bugs=). Testers will be given access to early development builds as they are ready.

or simply RPG art I can use.

The art I need is as follows :

Item icons - 32x32 icons or greater

Category icons - high quality icons pertaining to the following types : Chest, Armor, Weapons, Food, Potions, Scrolls, Books, Ingredients, Misc. preferably SVG/PNG format.

Photoshop/Flash art for the UI look(panels, buttons etc.)

and probably some more that I can't think of right now...

Thanks.

Greets!

I love SkyUI.  Keep up the good work.

I'm not sure if we necessarily have anything in the archive that fits the style you're going for, but if you haven't taken a look, you might want to.  In any case, I look forward to seeing your project. :)

Will you be including another system for the magic users as well?  I'll be glad to test, and see if I can pay my roommate to put out some icon sets, as I'm not that great at drawing.  I'd also like to see a border effect for magical items, and am wondering about how you would represent quantity?  I need a way to keep my 80 iron daggers, 16 with undead repelling powers separate?  Is that damn creation kit out yet?
