Seeking a 2d artist to reskin a video game
Hello,
I parted ways with my prior company tangerinepop.com
I wrote an engine you can play here: http://www.shockwave.com/gamelanding/dungeon-run.jsp
I also started a MMORPG where I have most of episode 1 finished. The guys at Tangerine Pop have no problem with me using the engine I coded, but I need to replace the art. This is a Christian RPG which promotes you doing all your actions in goodness, loving kindness, and chairity. It is similar to Zelda, except you can't get stuck on quest in this game. Progress is done by a variety of different routes.
The first episode has you repairing a town's burnt down houses. So you collect materials, or find food and hire people to collect materials and build. Most of the game involves you fighting through levels to get to the end for a reward for now. Later it will have multiplayer, a castle sim, a kingdom conquering mode, and large army vs army battles. I think it will be fun to have a zelda style game where you have 500 soldiers under your command all equipped with different rarity equipment you've found in your adventure. My theory is if when you play final fantasy style games and hand me down equipment to other people in your party that if you had a massive party, it could get really fun.
I have about 1000-2000 pieces of art to be reskinned(we could probably minimalize what is needed so it is closer to 500). I'd be willing to split gross profits with you 50/50 for every episode you wish to help with. I plan on having a new episode out every 6-9 months with new features. I won't be very demanding on art for future episodes, but just what you can manage.
I figure for publishing, we'd charge 3-4$ and merely put it behind a paywall. Every episode will be the same price as the original. This encourages new players to pick up the game without having to pay a lot, and old players who are pleased with the game will continue to support us.
