Hello! I usually have the most amazing luck when looking for free art for my freeware projects, but I seem to be down on my luck. I'm looking for models for a shooter, with that low-poly style we see on Quake 2 or PSX games. Specially japanese games with pixel-based textures instead of low-res photographic textures.

All content I find (usually mods for Quake 2) is proprietary. None of the authors of old Q2 models that were downloaded in mod forums appears to have released the rights for the models.

I'm gathering patience to start looking for the contact information of every author of every model I like (which are all usually 10+ years old with the original sites all dead), but in the meantime I was optimistic that perhaps someone here know of a repository for this kind of asset.
