Please report art with misleading preview images.
Hey folks.
We've recently had a number of people posting art preview images and then linking to paid download sites in the art desctription without making the download available here on OGA. I think it's pretty clear from both the site itself and from the art upload form that this is a misuse of the archive, so at this point we're going to stop giving people the benefit of the doubt and immediately unpublish things like this as soon as they're reported (rather than leaving them sit on the front page and rewarding this behavior with traffic).
If you know of anything like this in the archive that hasn't already been caught and unpublished, please give us a heads up here. Also, flag them as spam if you see them. Please don't comment directly on the entry; let the admins handle that.
Admins, if you see this stuff, don't just flag a licensing issue; unpublish it immediately (but don't delete it; there are times I need a record of what went on) and leave a professional but terse explanatory comment on why the entry was unpublished.
Thanks,
Bart
P.S. To avoid confusion, it's perfectly okay for artists to link to a pay site in the description and mention that there is, for example, a larger set available; it's just not okay to include preview images of things that aren't available for download, and it's particularly not okay to post something that's just a preview of something that's only available elsewhere.
