New JRPG-style game in the works
Hi!
I'm a super solo indie dev on zero budget making a JRPG that's sort of a cross between Lufia, Ultima and Dragon Quest (hopefully). I'm building it pretty much entirely myself from scratch in Unity5, basically started to teach myself game development and just kept going.
Allow me to announce for all of OGA, Gavornus Zero: The Origin!
Super pre-alpha screenshots:
I'm using the LPC Sprites, obviously, plus textures from textures.com and some random art from here, too. I thought this would be a decent place to potentially gather people who are interested in the project.
Gavornus uses a built-from-scratch combat system focused around elemental strengths and weaknesses, encourages puzzle-solving and exploration, has an absurd story, and has been my baby for the last year.
Check out the temporary website for full-size screenshots, where I (rarely) update and sometimes post about learning how to make games:

I am also looking to work with any aspiring artists, musicians and designers who might want to contribute here and there.
As far as progress goes, designwork is largely done, the framework for everything is basically complete, and most of what remains is plugging in content. While I have the barebones for everything designed, I need art and music and potentially someone to help with scene design. You can message me here if you're interested :)
Feel free to post thoughts but be gentle!
P.S. I'm also working on a couple other 2.5d games which include:
-Turn-based board-game style RPG with potential multiplayer influeced by Descent (framework 30%)
-Turn-based strategy RPG influenced by Langrisser (framework 25%)
-Combination high-speed action/survival horror (concept stages)
-Roguelite Danmaku STG (concept stages)
If you're interested in any of these projects either, shoot me a message!
