I'm an artist, illustrator and graphic designer. 

I really would like to create art assets for video games but I never did anything like that before and I don't know where to start.

I searched the forum for some information but I couldn't find anything on what to start with when you're an artist :)

Could you please help me?

I really would like to make spritesheets (it looks fun!) but I don't know what type of file I have to use (dimension, vector or pixel, what kind of assets to put in it, etc.). And i forgot to specify that i don't do pixel art, just good old 2d illustrations.
