Map Icons (paid commission)
Hello Citizens of OGA,
My project is a browser based, oldschool strategy RPG (MMO). I would ike to exchange some of my placeholders with real icon art. Currently required are pixel art style map icons. Attached you find the whole job description so we don't have to repeat everything. Im looking for a talented pixel artist who is willing to work for a modest wage.
Note: Of course you can comment this thread. But if you are really interested in the job (we discuss payment in private), please contact me directly using tobias[at]1manstudio.de - thank you!
Gods & Minions - Online
Gods & Minions is a free, browser based game. In this oldschool strategy RPG you take the role of a powerful Archmage who was resurrected by the Gods from the depth's of hell. You are designated to commence "the Fall" - the final war that will end the world. By researching ancient spells you gather a mighty army of fantastic creatures in order to defeat your opponents and finally provoke Armageddon!
The Job: Map Icons
Required are a total of 32 map icons to represent the various locations in the game. Gods & Minions has a strong "elemental" flair to it, so most of the icons would be aligned to one of the elements as well. The challenge is that the icons must be as small as possible (because of limited space inside a browser window) and clear to read and remember while looking cool.
- 6 Elemental Tower (your "Cities", but we agreed on towers because they are much easier to represent and fit the "magician theme" quite well).
- 6 Elemental Dungeons (NPC dungeons you can raid).
- 12 Elemental Terrains (special sites of interest that represent terrain)
- 12 Special Icons (Various special locations like a warpgate or old ruins, not all of them are aligned to elements - we talk about these in detail)
The Icons
- Full color, preferable PNG 8 (or PNG 24 if you want to include transparency)
- As small as possible, preferable 24x24 pixels (or a maximum of 32x32) - we don't have much space!
- Easy to identiy and remember
- Looking cool!
Finally I have attached a screenshot of the current map. The map art is more or less final, the icons are of course placeholders.
Thanks in advance!
Cheers
-Tobias
