Is Flare suitable for a resource gathering game?

Has anyone had luck making something like a resource gathering game on Flare? Where one could click on a tree whilst wielding an axe to fell it and get wood.
It would be fun to build something like that in Flare and want to pursue it, but I just want to find out if Flare is suitable for something like this or is it out of scope?

It's probable not a whole lot of people here, if any, use the Flare engine.
