[IMPORTANT] Forum rules clarification
There's something I'm seeing on the forums (and occasionally in the IRC channel) that really needs to be nipped in the bud.
While the OGA archive will always require that people post libre (open) licensed works, the OGA forums and IRC channel are meant for anyone who wants to talk about games or game art. This includes artists and indie developers who don't want to release their works under open licenses.
It's perfectly okay to ask what license someone is using (seeing as that's an important and highly relevant piece of information), but it's not okay to imply that someone should shove off if they're not using a libre license.
The FOSS community has a bad reputation for being nasty and unwelcoming to new people and outsiders, and I want to make it absolutely clear that that sort of thing is not acceptable here.
If you happen to see a comment in violation of these rules, please don't take it to mean that I approve of it. Either a) it was posted before this date, or b) I haven't seen it.
This topic is locked. If you'd like to discuss it, please feel free to start a thread here in the general forum. While this rule is not negotiable, I'd be happy to explain my reasoning further if people have questions.
Bart
Note: While this rule applies to people showing off and advertising their own work, it does not apply to posts advertising spammy game aggregation sites, which will be removed.
