How to find game assets with a consistent style.
There are lots of assets on opengameart, but there isn't a way to find consistent artwork. The only standard is the liberal pixel cup. Even then it's not enough for most games.

Oh... based on the title I assumed you had instructions on how to find assets with a consistent style.
Was there supposed to be a question or is this more of a "want to know how to win? you can't!" sort of thing? :)
Here's what I do to find a consistent style:

Pepsi a lot of finding the right assets is just knowing what to look for. You really just have to eye it, but some things that may help are:
That's what I do.
You already answered your own question: "there isn't a way to find consistent artwork"
Good question.
If you want to use lowpoly stylized download from here and blendswap / turbosquid sites. Use Blender and you need some conversion.
Currently I download files from these pages: blendswap / turbosquid / archive3d.net and I use qubicle (It's not easy to learn how to use a blender so I like qubicle and assetforge).
As others sort of mentioned, I would say the best way is to find an artist who has the style you like and look at their other work. I understand what you mean though. When I was creating a bunch of pixel art assets for one giant submission, I kept pushing myself to add as many useful things as I could. I wanted my submission to have enough art to get a person started on a game without having to look for more art assets. Some other people post art packs like that as well.
