Game Jam Freinds--

Game Jam Friends (i.e. Buddies)--

I'm going to start posting this idea on more forums because I haven’t found something like this on the web. I’ve found game jams that do this on a face-to-face basis, but I haven’t found anyone trying this online.

The idea is simple. People team up and combined their skills (i.e programing, art, music, social media, etc.) to make games for Game Jams like Ludam Dare to lesser popular or unknown gamejams.

The games then are published on free sites like New Grounds, Kongragate, Scirra(Construct 2), or any where people can play them and the team can get feedback to make the game better.

The team then can decide to improve the game or sell it on services like Steam to try and go big, or to a company for a small profit.

The team decisions should be based on voting or simple agreements, and if a teammate decides to stop contributing to the project, arrangements should be made if they would forfeit their ownership, or have to share more of their ownership if a replacement comes on, (etc.) Meaning, the game that is worked on has the ownership split equally among its’ contributors by default.

Of course, there will be many teams that will fail at communicating with each other; however, I believe many short term projects would help people make games and get their games and names and ideas out there. In the end, the few friends anyone  finds will more than likely become serious game developers and will become great friends to work with on future projects.

Tell me what you think :D
