free fighting game sprite sheets

Theres a lot of sprite sheets here with lots of cool animations for fighting games. The page is marked as "open source sprite sheets" but no particular license is mentioned. A lot of them (maybe all) are based on characters from other works but at least the sprite sheets look like they were created from scratch by the same person.
I think that they're all edited from other fighting game sprites.
yeah, u can tell the captain falcon sprite is actually a masked/mod of m.bison.
