I am working on a game that for the most part, takes place on an intersteller college ship.

Something like a gradient style wall with a window here and there that reveals the galaxy in small portions.

By gradient style, I mean something that goes from white, to a grayish style white mix and back to white, so it would be possible for me to have the background loop.

The game's playstyle is a 2d platformer with a lite amount of combat.

This background would be repeat a decent amount with some variations here and there in seperate rooms.

Think of it similar to a Metroid: Fusion in terms of the room based enviroment.

EDIT: The background needs to be of decent hight to accomadate for the sprite sizes, they are an average of 256 x 256 px.
