Seeking partner to work on a game with / 50% rev-share
4 years ago I started working on Noxious, a free to play, browser based 2D isometric MMORPG inspired by Endless Online and Habbo, with the goal to create a place that gives 2007 MMO vibes.
During the playtest I found that the balancing was very off and needed a complete overhaul. The foundation is fixed and I'd like to get help reimplementing items, monsters, shops and crafting from the ground up.
I am looking for a partner who has sufficient time, is communicative, can work pro-active, is smart with how economy, progression and narrative combine. You don't need professional experience, just a genuine feel for what makes MMO progression satisfying. Having worked on MMO private servers helps.
About Noxious
Noxious is a 2D isometric multiplayer game with many floors standing between you and the truth. No one can climb alone and so each floor must be conquered by the server together before the next one opens. If the server is stuck on Floor 4, then Floor 4 is where everyone fights, trades, schemes and survives until the community finds a way through. Every breakthrough belongs to everyone.
The world doesn't care how you survive it. Build guilds, forge alliances, crush anyone in your path. Or play quiet. Steal. Lie. Let others do the bleeding, then take what's left. The floors reward progress, not morals.
About me
My name is Dennis, a 25 y/o Dutchie, and I've been a web developer by trade for almost 9 years. I have ADHD and find almost everything super interesting as long as it's digital or online. I also enjoy neuroscience, self development, going to the gym, reading, discovering new music artists & genres and watching anime. Hoping to make some great new friendships during this adventure!
What exists?
A lot! Thousands of assets, 100+ maps, and many systems finished. Via this link you can learn more about Noxious, view screenshots, find the GDD and more: https://huly.adhd.sh/workbench/noxious/document/introduction-69ac840104a9b674c12b37df
