Looks very good Retimer.
Would it be possible to update the preview with a .gif to show the explosion as an animation?
GIF's look terrible. I'll see if I can get in contact with admin about having swf's for previews (would be awesome!).
I'll add a gif until then :) Thanks
From bandwith pov it's not wise to use flash and: flash takes lots of time to load on the homepage compared to a gif, so the site would be horribly slow to load. So please, no SWF previews for images, for sound it's the only option (besides html5, but forcing users to have modern browsers may be a no-go), but for images it isn't.
SWF with compression can be sized as little as a gif, and 10 year old computers have no problem loading flash objects (especially if they contain a simple animation - what flash was initially used for). Libraries, public shared educational pc's have flash, and my grandma has flash. Linux has flash, mac has flash.
GIF's are far too out-dated for previewing. I'm not saying swf is the only option - it's just one, but this is a new site and gif as the only animation preview is very limiting.
I'm not here for a debate but I also run several domains, dedicated servers, etc. Uncompressed Avi's would hardly run hard on bandwidth these days with what hosts provide and while this site has a great community, by the time it has enough traffic to talk about bandwidth, it will need to be on a better, more dedicated machine anyhow.
I assume you mean it's outdated for some previews. I think it's obvious that .gif is by far the best choice for, say, animated pixel art.
I really like these effects and I'm using some of them in a flash & iOS game that I'm working on. You can play the current state of the game here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/15271615/Space%20Rush.swf
I've added WrathGames to the credits.

Wonderful! :)
