When I was in middle school, I wrote a story about a star fighter called the Skybinder X-129, a stealth fighter that was capable of rapid laser fire, speed, agility, and high-heat resistance at the cost of being somewhat more susceptible to physical damage than other fighters. It could be used in space battles in a pinch, but its real job was to stealth through enemy lines and deliver payloads, supplies, or even mount a full-on assault from behind, destroying the enemy before they never knew what hit them.

I had it described in detail, even the specs of the craft. However, I lost that story (and several others) due to a domestic abuse situation.

Regardless, the memory of the craft remained, and I designed this character set for my game. It came out better than I had hoped and I decided to release it, for the first time, under Creative Commons so that others could share in this sweet memory from my childhood -- and let it take to the stars at last.

This pack includes two sets of sprite sheets (small and large), portraying the ship in its inactive and active states. It is RPG-Maker ready, and even comes with a bonus Star grid that I am using in my own game. I also included its original scrap file for you to do as you will with.

As for the specs of the craft itself -- I will leave that to you. Consider it a challenge from me.
