Ahem... I'm proud to show you...

The Great Machine!

This gorgeous machine does whatever you think it does (for I can't think of anything it could do apart from mixing some colours) using only steampower and DawnBringer's 16 colors palette!

Why not to have a try? Just pull the lever!

(Suggestions on what this machine could be are more than welcome)

(With special thanks to Surt for bringing me to know this wonderful palette and for his awesome pixel art - which I looked at to learn and improve my poor pixel art)

Cool!  If you could, You should make it so the levels of the "sand" are editable for heights! Then it would be dynamic if anyone wanted to use it in a game for leveling/scoring of somekind!  :D

@yd: thanks!

@cjc83486: that was a good idea - better than the static one I made above. Fortunately, there's wise people round here: http://opengameart.org/content/the-machine-dismantled (notice he also added nice tweaks and edits)

cjc83486's comment gave me the idea and it was already quite separable

Does anyone still have dismantled version of this? The link doesn't seem to work. It's awesome but I would really like some more control over the parts of this device. Still pretty great though, even without the dynamic parts :-)

Seems vk removed it from his submissions... It is not listed inside his profile. Which parts you need? If it isn't too much stuff, I could make a dismantled version myself

Hmm, too bad. Well, I guess I just need some animation to make it seem buzzy and maybe make the switch flippable. But upon further inspection I think I can do that myself, so thanks for your offer but no thanks :) If you however have more machines like this (or maybe even sketches) I would be very interested.

Oh man, I have an actual high-use case for this in my game---it is for mixing colored sand. I can hardly believe such a thing is already out there...  *AND* it already has a matching set of very good GUI bits?! This is fantastic.

Where is the dismantled version?! :D  I must have it!!
